We are pleased to share our latest inspection report from Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills). The report validates that the clear, ambitious direction we have taken at Sherborne St. John is driving rapid, positive progress.

We would like to highlight key areas of strength recognised by inspectors in May 2026:

• Outstanding Inclusion & SEND Support: Inspectors praised our rapid identification of pupil needs and effective teaching adaptations, ensuring every child accesses the full curriculum and succeeds.

• Strong Relationships & Well-being: The report highlights strong, trusting staff-pupil relationships, effective emotional check-ins, and outdoor provision that help children feel safe, happy, and calm.

• Positive Behaviour & Culture: Our pupils demonstrate positive attitudes to learning, kindness and respect, supported by a robust culture of safeguarding.

• Decisive & Effective Leadership: Leaders have a clear understanding of the school's strengths and areas for development, already taking effective action to refine learning checks and teaching standards.

While the report reflects an earlier evaluation framework, we embrace the ongoing steps to refine our provision further- including enhanced early years outdoor spaces and handwriting programmes. We are immensely proud of our pupils, staff, and supportive community as we continue building a fantastic environment where every child thrives.

SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults.
